![]() Honestly, I'd love to be a player with these character creation rules. I was considering that the prevalence of feats without expending ASI would give the players more variety in how thematic they want their characters to be without sacrificing potency in their core competencies. The plot is typically such that the clock is always moving and I try to make that a very palpable feeling at the table. While magic is prevalent in my campaign (and therefore magical means of healing), I rarely pull punches when it comes to monsters and other encounters and I try to keep the pace moving so that PCs don't just hit a room, rest, hit the next room, rest again, etc. This will effectively grant most PCs 3-4 feats, by the time they are high level. I wanted to get the community's feedback on the following:Īll officially legal races/classes/backgrounds are available as is UA stuff (though the latter only on a case-by-case basis).Ĥd6, drop the lowest is used with the caveat that AFTER rolling stats, each player then has the option of instead using the point buy method.Įach character begins with a feat and also receives one additional feat every other ASI. ![]() ![]() Included in the guide are my character creation guidelines. After working on a new campaign world, I am now prepping the Campaign Guide for the players.
